Sacha Goldberger from Facebook posted these amazing versions of modern characters in period Renaissance gear. It's given me the itch to make my own versions of these costumes. Take a look at the amazing work that Sacha and his team achieved.
I think I am personally in love with the Superman costume. It may be because he is my favorite character, or the fact that I am in love with the fabric choices. Blue damask? I am all over that. :)

Along my pinterest travels I found this interesting picture/tutorial. A guy that was into LARPing (live action role play) plays a dwarf character. He really wanted to look the part, so he found a way to fake his height. The idea was so simple and perfect for the character that I had to share it on this weeks Astonishing Costuming.
If you a trolling around on pinterest, you are sure to come across some cosplayers dressed as the Disney princesses. I admit that I have given some serious thought to making a Jane or Ariel costume. I think it is every adult girl's dream to finally have that beautiful dress. So I thought I would dedicate this week's Astonishing Costuming to the variations of Disney Cosplay Princess.

San Diego Comic Con is going on this weekend. Like every other geek girl, it is my dream to go there. Until I magically have a lot of money or become famous, I will spend my weekend looking at all of the wonder costumes that the convention goers wear.
So in honor of SDCC, I will show you all my favorite cosplays from this weekend (thus far!).
Loved that someone thought of this! It was one of my favorite movies growing up.
Very clever way to get around!
This is all just from day one! I can only imagine what the rest of the weekend will look like. Do you have a favorite costume from SDCC?
